Honestly, I feel that greens should auto-customize when they're dropped for a player. They seem to be a kind of reward for defeating a boss, and just being able to buy them in the first place defeats that purpose. Overfarming would be a thing of the past and we wouldn't need a 3x drop weekend to raise the chances of getting that reward.

I'm pretty confident that in time, the prices on these greens will go back to normal. Yeah, most of these greens were massed farm during this weekend but most are going to be sold within days, weeks. So the demand for certain greens will go back up and so will the price.

Actually, if they were customised to the player, my mesmer would have a green rit. staff he picked up while skill capping at the beginning of factions... god only knows what purpose that staff would have... other than being deleted because I don't have enough storage space. Yes, it's wonderful that we get rewarded for killing a boss, but the reality is that not every boss is of your characters specific profession, so customising those weapons upon drop would be rather silly. |

Green auto-customisation would be interesting, but very very lame. It would mean that EVERYONE would have to farm the boss just to get the green, which would make Guild Wars turn into Grind Wars...even more so than it is

BTW: when I said "player", I meant player, not character, as in the account. Sorry for any confusion. So that out of the way, why is this a bad idea? Really, I'd like to know. |

I guess if I farmed my butt off for greens like some do I would be p***ed off that the price had dropped. However I dont farm greens so how can I put it?...."tough"!!
This for me was by far the best weekend event so far. I got 4 green weapons and a shed load of golds, 90% of the time with 7 henchmen. I also spent more time in Factions than I have since it came out - and in fact ENJOYED playing it for a change. Long live the common scum like me, and rest in peace all you robbing scum who want to charge 100K + 50 ecto's for a weapon lol. POWER TO THE PEOPLE !!! |

I like how prices have dropped for Canthan greens and I hope it stays that way. The lesser the price, the better. Make them available to everyone. I'm not suggesting total Socialism in GW. I still want there to be higher priced items. But the more affordable for everyone, the better. There would still be room for people who enjoy trading and selling.
I think this triple green weekend cause more of these greens to circulate around not just because of the drop rate, but the increase in people farming for them. I'd like to see more of these events. And how about a weekend when the elite missions are open to EVERYONE and doesn't require a ferry? |

That does bring an interesting idea. Not to be off topic, but how about some type of boss that will yeild a weapon specifically for the profession of each character that defeats it? The weapon will drop assigned and customized for you. The weapon type will be the one for your primary profession.
As for triple green week, I'd love to see another at Christmas time. For Prophecies, Factions, and Nightfall all at the same time. If that's a lot of farming for one weekend, make it a week long event! |

I knew prices would drop after the event, since the greens would obviously get overfarmed... So i sold my Kanaxai's edge before the event for a nice 76k.
Dunno what the price is right now for the Edge tho... |

That brings up the problem of Mods on these greens...some like the classic wammo mods 20/20 +30hp whislt the more experianced would prefer vamp/zealous and +5AR and so on.

The prices during the triple green weekend were way low. But I think it's more because people were thinking, "I can just farm them myself." They'll go up in price steadily as days and weeks go by. Hopefully not as high as they were before the event. But they will at least a little and that's a good thing. I really do support the trade and economy in the game. But when someone decides "ok I want to get this certain item by finding or buying it," I want it so it doesn't take long to get it. I'd like to see this aspect of the game relaxed a bit.

What I would like to see is entirely new types of mods created. No idea what, but there has to be something that could be added to the combat engine to spice up weapon crafting, and how mundane it has gotten. The inscriptions are a nice start, but they will still just be things we've already seen/used before. As for the green prices, they will probably rebound a bit from this weekend's floor prices, but I wouldn't expect them to regain their complete pre-event value. I'd say 20-25% off their old rates could be a target point to look at for most of them. For the next few days it will be an extreme buyer's market as supply of everything is high, so buy now if there are any greens you want to get for your Nightfall heroes. Actually, the fact that in two weeks' time people are going to be equipping for heroes in addition to their main characters, means that greens everywhere may see some sort of demand increase, if only slightly.
